The Big Day~Reveal Day~has arrived
![]() |
| "Three Souls" |
Well.. we have arrived at the reveal day. What a journey it has been; a lovely journey! I was challenged with the size of the focal bead sent from ema. My husband had a wonderful interpretation of her creation he stated it tells of an astrological message of 5 planets lining up and a tidal wave capturing 3 souls in it's current. Wow, now that speaks volumes to Ema and her talent, thank you for sharing these treasures with me:-) Yes, really it is beautiful and I did not want to take away from its beauty, but yet still wanted to "create", hmm, yea see my dilemma. I decided to keep it simple, and it worked! I have ended up with a wonderful piece of jewelry that I am proud to post to this PaRty, that is Bead Soup Blog Party. The colors were not scary at all. I am at one with blues and garnets and had many options of beads to add to this piece. Buttercream worked wonderful in this colorscheme, like the sand of time. I decided a mixed bag of peyote worked to deliver the balance I was looking for. 3 Souls is a wonderful name for this piece. For the bracelet I used star netting, buttercream and garnet. The pictures really don't do any of the pieces as much justice as they deserve, but that is something I am still working on...tips gladly accepted::grin::
I used the other blue blown glass beads and matched them with some decorative copper tubing, and simple stringing, love it! I loved participating and now have three lovely pieces of jewelry to wear and share. I was actually fortunate enough to have some left overs. In any good project you always have left overs---got them stashed anyway, you know for a rainy day...
Thank you Lori for hosting this and helping us with the technical stuff...Learned alot, enjoy your hop everyone, I know I will.
Peace

Bead Soup is brewed and ready to serve!
I am super excited about the reveal day on March 3rd for the Bead soup blog party!! Still not sure how to "hop" but I'll figure it out. Lori has been super helpful already so she won't let us newbies flounder. I was truly challenged by my focal bead sent to me by my partner and artist Ema, but its all good and why I joined, well other that the delight and surprise when the package arrived. I have enjoyed viewing some blogs I would otherwise have not found. So I thank Lori for all the work she does!
This picture is of a design my daughter used to doodle as a child, will soon be a peyote stitched banded bracelet for her. I just love her to pieces and create stuff with her in mind, well most of the time:-)
Peace~

Had to leave my loyal friend again today~
My ever so faithful companion and protector, Sierra. She is a Rotti and she knows it! However, she has been to me the most loyal dog I have ever had the pleasure of having. She is not one we can take to the farmer's market but I can walk at night in the middle of a big city if need be. She is one of four in our family, this "girl" is from the 1st litter we had. Her brother goes to the park and so does her parents, but not her, unfortunate as it is she does not seem to mind being with just us. However, that has changed a bit for her and well us. She had to go to temporary housing with my son while we stay in temporary housing to get our other temporary housing finished and approved while we build the "forever house". Sounds a bit redundant and complicated and can be to some but to us it is just "how it is right now". Living in the moment is a simple way to be able to accommodate transition. Transition or change can be very difficult and knowing that is really half the battle. I have learned hard felt lessons over my years that change is necessary for us to flourish. Remaining stagnant is extremely unhealthy-think of that body of water that just is, without movement, yes not always so pleasant. We have had lots of movement both physical, geographical and spiritual. Every day is a new day to begin with something new. For today I leave my furry daughter again after our weekend visit. It is hard for us and she gets a bit irritated, which is evident upon our return. But again it is all good and while there at my son's she is busy learning from him what she does not get from us and that is wonderful. Time to release and go...Peace~

Time to make the soup!

Soup ingredients have arrived safe in all in one piece! I am excited to get this started, but as you can see no props, no beading implements, no...It is Superbowl weekend and I am spending it with two of my three children so I will have to wait to get back home to begin. Ema 's work is beautiful. I feel so blessed to have these lovely beads to work with. I so covet any handblown glass beads I get so i am happy to have "permission" to use these and not hold on to them...Oh and blue to boot! One of my favorite colors, matches my eyes~ Stay tuned, March 3rd is the blog hop for the bead soup party hosted by, Lori of Pretty Things.GO PATS~

Ahh the weekend has arrived...thank goodness~
What a long week! Really why is it that when you work 3 days it seems like an eternity for the weekend to come? Really, it felt like the break would never arrive! But alas I and so many more have made it to the proverbial weekend, not just any weekend though. It is a football weekend, Go Pats!!!!!
I will be ready for that Sunday game, but in the mean time I got some important tasks, one of which is to pick through my gems to select something for my bead soup partner, well got something in mind, but gonna have a peek in my local bead store as well. Hey, wonderful excuse to have to stop in there ::as she grins from ear to ear::
Happy Friday to all~

Cecerely Yours is going to have a home of its own...soon!
Found this while exploring EVERYTHING on Pinterest. Love it!!! Can see my sign hanging above the door. Would need some more windows, lots of light is needed to bead, lots especially as the eyes get older. Ha, Will begin to look for some reclaimed wood, want to see how economical I can produce this work of love for. I like a challenge so this will be just one of many. This is almost a dream come true. I smile every time I think about sitting among the large wooded area with grand oak trees that will allow the light to come in and dance off the glass beads~ Ahh, the energy that I seek from nature. I love trees!!!! They give off such a sense of peace and calm. They stand so majestic and await to have human life to enjoy their life and limb:-) Peace~

Musings of a Mum...
“I’d always believed that a life of quality, enjoyment, and wisdom were my human birthright and would be automatically bestowed upon me as time passed. I never suspected that I would have to learn how to live - that there were specific disciplines and ways of seeing the world I had to master before I could awaken to a simple, happy, uncomplicated life.”
-Dan Millman
I read this while having my morning coffee and it struck me, well actually it made me think of someone I love who is struggling with many life questions. She is questioning so many things and being challenged daily to conquer new areas of humans let alone her own awareness of self. My post today is to my lovely daughter who really has the answers, but has just not listened to her own heart. Find trust in yourself and you will find a mastery of lifes journey...Walk within your mindseye and see the greatness, warmth and love you are able to bestow upon yourself---then you can share it with others. Love you Mum xo

Stress, where does it get you?
Moving is just a bit stressful, feeling overwhelmed by this box here, that box there--but wait they are just boxes right? They will be moved to a new location, right? hmm, in that context moving is just a chore something else that needs to be done in an already busy life. So I quess it is not truly the moving it is the "chore" of the event that can create stress. Oh and let me add...
This man is on the other side of the stress I am feeling...poor guy! Glad he has learned to be patient with me while we transition, again...Harvest Moon, the stress-free zone!

5th Bead Soup Blog Party
Just registered for this PARTY!!!! Love parties...any kind!
Since I am new to this blogger stuff I am sure this picture called a gadget should be on the side of my page and not as a post, but still a learner of many things, so I am sure I will get some assistance from a fellow blogger, bead lover or well I'll take help from any who is kind enough to assist. I want to give credit where credit is do, so I apologize in advance if this is not working as a "gadget". HELP...

In my heart...
Now that life has settled a bit, well a bit is alot for me, I have more time to be creative with my beadwork. Ok, confession, life will never be settled because that is how it is for this life:-) But time has found a way to be on my side...although there is moving and renovating and pulling permits and beginning a new aspect of a job I love...the list is always endless, but in truth if it was not I would be done and I am far from done I am just starting~
This bracelet was made specifically for my mom. Green like her eyes, gold for her heart and random shades of spring to bring warmth to her while she recovers from rotator cuff surgery. She is a strong New England woman, so this too she is taking like a trooper. We live too far apart for me to care for her daily needs, but she is in my heart~always~.

An accomplished day
Each day will bring about new challenges for me. I will remain steadfast, well for the time being, and take it one day at at time, just like those who walk through the doors of AA. Speaking of which, life is miraculous because my husband has made this journey and is one year clean and sober!!!! Many a coin in a wishing well over the last 30 years and all along it took his own spirit to find the way. this is one of the veins in the root in my soul as he is my soul-mate and the Tree flourishes for us. We are complex, but yet simple. We are on a new journey, one I hope to be able to be more present in and not so anxious about, well everything! I made headway today in organizing my passion, my beads. Now that is complete I feel a bit relieved, funny really, cause it will not be long before I have them out and about. But since we are moving and in a transition phase ::again:: I needed them to be ready to travel. The goal is no longer than 3 months time to get our temporary, temporary digs ready. See we are becoming farmers, silly really if you know us. But none the less we have bought the land and will sustain life living on my paycheck to build our legacy. We, dear hubby and I, share the process of getting there; we just don't think the same, almost never. Interestingly, we always end up at the same location:-) As I said, we are soul-mates~Which brings me to the accomplished day part, we worked on our own things and accomplished much~
